Happy Day

The Mets announced today that Jose Reyes was cleared to resume baseball activity and is on his way back to Port St. Lucie.

GM Omar Minaya announced that he is not sure if Reyes will be ready for Opening Day.

Reyes will need to play games in Florida and get back into shape since he has been inactive. This should not take too long but he needs to be careful with his health, especially with his history of injuries.

Either way, this is incredible news for the Mets. While Reyes remains a question mark, he is one gigantic step closer to playing and may be around for most of April instead of none of it.

The Mets entered this week with many serious questions. This good news is a break for New York, and it helps bring excitement to a fan base that is just waiting for something to cheer for.
