On Friday night, Corey Hart ended the Mets winning and scoreless streak by blasting a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Then came Saturday and Hart ended the Mets starting pitching scoreless-inning streak by hitting a grand slam in the first inning.

He went for the trifecta, hitting his third straight home run in his next at bat.

The Mets fell in a hole and couldn’t get out of it, losing their second straight game, falling back to four games behind the Phillies.

New York now stares into the eyes of Mets-killer Randy Wolf. One more loss, and the series against the Phillies is erased.

The boys from Flushing need to salvage the series today and then get two in San Diego to even this road trip at .500.

They depend on R.A. Dickey to right the sinking ship that has another leak.

Here we are again, taking on water and trying to stay afloat. What a season!
